5 Christian Artists to Add to Your Playlist

Picture this: it's Monday morning, and you find yourself mindlessly scrolling through social media, desperately seeking a mental escape (even if you’ve only done, like, 15 minutes worth of work so far). Hey, we get it. Workdays can be tough, especially after a weekend of relaxation and fun – – props to you for adulting responsibly.

To make your workweek so much more enjoyable, we've curated a lineup of our recent favorite Christian artists that will help you power through the week. Consider this your go-to list for a much-needed dose of motivation. You’re welcome.

  1. David Kushner

If you're a fan of artists like Hozier, then David Kushner will be right up your alley. Originally from the suburbs of Chicago, Kushner made his way to Los Angeles where he started releasing his own music. One of his tracks, "Miserable Man," blew up on TikTok in 2022, and even landed him the opportunity to be the opening act for one of Lauv's tours. Kushner's Christian faith plays a significant role in his music. In a 2023 interview, he expressed, "My faith in God has been a foundation in my life. [...] I don't let any criticism deter me. I embrace my faith and create music that I believe will resonate with people."

2. Tiffany Hudson

If you’re a fan of Elevation Worship, then Hudson may already be a familiar face to you. As an award-winning songwriter, she has contributed to hits like Graves Into Gardens and Never Lost. Despite her success with Elevation Worship, recording a solo project was never part of her plans until she felt a calling from the Lord in early 2022. Her solo debut album, "Hidden Here", released on Elevation Worship Records, showcases a range of styles focused on individual worship, a departure from the group's usual corporate worship sound. “‘Hidden Here’ deals with the tension we face in desiring to be seen and known by others. I often think of the secret place when referring to hiddenness,” Hudson shares. “The time with God that no one else sees is often the most sacred and holy.”

3. KB

KB is a highly regarded Christian hip-hop artist and music executive from St. Petersburg, Florida, is known for his unwavering passion in using Christian hip-hop as a tool for revival. This is evident in his last two hip-hop worship albums, "His Glory Alone" and “His Glory Alone II”, where the songs invites us to embrace vulnerability and offers songs that glorify God. "My dream was to bring God-centered lyricism to trap. The idea has been in my heart for a long time. I finally made it happen on His Glory Alone,” KB expressed. “The things I love most — prayer, celebrating God, and music — come together to hopefully encourage, empower, and heal.”

4. Forrest Frank

Forrest Frank is another powerhouse that’s been barreling into our radar through Instagram and TikTok. Hailing from Texas, the independent producer and singer’s music started gaining traction last summer with tracks like No Longer Bound and Alter. His songs are energetic and unmistakably revolve around faith (which can sometimes feel hard to come by), with fun instrumental sections and a mix of singing and rap. His recent album titled "New Hymns" takes the cherished hymns of our grandparents' churches and gives these age-old favourites a modern makeover, inviting a whole new generation to sing along. Notably, Forrest Frank has collaborated with Christian music legends like Lecrae and Maverick City, solidifying his place in the industry.

5. Sam Rivera

Sam Rivera, a talented Pop/R&B singer and songwriter, has been making a buzz in the Christian music scene in recent years. Born in Portland to Salvadoran immigrants, Rivera discovered his passion for music at the age of 15 while attending the church where his parents were pastors. Initially hesitant to share his gift with the world, he battled depression and anxiety, coming close to taking his own life. However, in a pivotal moment, he found comfort at a piano, where he began singing worship songs, igniting a renewed connection with music. In 2020, Rivera took his music to YouTube, attracting a fanbase. His career took off when he released a bilingual version of Todo Va Estar Bien and collaborated with notable artists like Evan Craft, Aklesso, Maverick City and more. Finally, on February 17th, 2023, he unveiled his highly anticipated album “Miracle (Deluxe)”.
